Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) collection and transport system for Ghent Power Station

We provided a Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) collection and transport system to Ghent Power Station, Kentucky Utilities’ largest coal-fired power plant with a generating capacity of 1,932 megawatts. From the respective daily storage areas, each of the CCR materials are reclaimed onto series of conveyors.

Transport from the transfer building to the truck loadout building

The purpose of the pipe conveyor is to transport fly ash, bottom ash and gypsum from the transfer building near the power plant to the truck loadout building over a distance of 2387 m. The system includes plant belt conveyors, a gypsum storage hall fed by a shuttle conveyor, bulk reception units, chain conveyors, a dual auger reclaim system and the pipe conveyor.
