Technical Design Assistant

We are looking for a Technical Design Assistant to support the Logistics Sales team in BEUMER Group Denmark during the quotation process with focus on layout design for new sorting systems.

Layout design of new sorting systems
As Technical Design Assistant, you will be involved in the system design from the very first customer request. During the quotation process you will be working closely with the technical colleagues from the department to develop a complete sortation solution which meets the customer's expectations. You will be preparing layouts in AutoCAD and designing solutions with all necessary equipment to fulfil the sortation requirements defined by the customer.

You will join the Sales & System team in Aarhus, and you will mainly be working together with colleagues in the core design team. Our team in Aarhus is also supporting projects in BEUMER Group worldwide, which means that you will also be working together with international colleagues.

The main responsibilities within the job are:

• To prepare 3D sales layouts in AutoCAD for sorting systems quoted to customers worldwide
• To implement BEUMER Group equipment as well as equipment from external suppliers into overall layouts by using drawing blocks connected by belt conveyor elements
• To ensure that our design rules are incorporated into the layout in close cooperation with the experienced technical colleagues of the Sales & System team
• To keep the drawing database updated in close cooperation with colleagues in the team.

You enjoy being a part of a team who works together to find the right system solutions for our customers. The design is prepared in close dialogue with the customers and thus the ideas and layouts are often adjusted several times during the quotation process.

We are looking for someone with the following key qualifications:

• Solid background and experience in preparing technical solutions within 3D AutoCAD design
• A high motivation in finding smart and innovative sorting solutions for our customers
• Flexibility and open minded to prepare alternative design solutions for our customers
• Excellent communication skills in English
