Job Description

The Vice Director of SCM is responsible for assisting the Director of SCM in formulating and implementing the company's supply chain strategy, optimizing supply chain processes, ensuring efficient procurement of materials, accurate inventory management, and smooth logistics and distribution. This role aims to achieve cost control, service level improvement, and enhanced overall operational efficiency of company, providing a strong supply chain guarantee for the sustainable development of projects.


Job Description: 
1. Strategic Planning and Decision Support 
- Participate in formulating the company's supply chain strategic plan, propose supply chain optimization suggestions and solutions to ensure that the supply chain strategy aligns with the company's overall strategy. 
- Assist the Director of Supply Chain in conducting supply chain cost analysis and budget preparation. 
2. Sourcing and Supplier Management 
- Lead and manage the sourcing activities. Identify potential sourcing markets and regions based on product requirements and cost-benefit analysis. Scout for new suppliers and sourcing opportunities to diversify the supply base and enhance the company's competitiveness. 
- Evaluate and select the most suitable sourcing channels and suppliers. Consider factors such as quality, price, delivery time, and supplier reputation. Negotiate favorable sourcing terms and contracts to ensure the best value for the company.
- Monitor and manage the performance of sourcing activities. Track key sourcing metrics such as cost savings, quality compliance, and delivery performance. Take corrective actions as needed to address any issues or risks. 
3. Inventory Management and Control 
- Establish and improve inventory management systems and processes.
- Collaborate closely with sales, production, and other departments, manage the inventory structure and layout reasonably. 
4. Logistics and Distribution Management 
- Plan and optimize the company's logistics network and distribution system. 
- Monitor and modify the logistics transportation process.  
5. Risk management and emergence response 
- Identify and assess various risks in the supply chain management process such as supplier risks, inventory risks, logistics risks, and market fluctuation risks. Develop corresponding risk response strategies and emergency plans to reduce the probability and impact of risks.
6. Team Management and Collaboration
- Strengthen cooperation and coordination among procurement, inventory, logistics, and other positions to improve the overall work efficiency and synergy of the department. 
- Maintain close communication and cooperation with other internal departments of the company such as project & engineering, production, sales, and finance. Coordinate the connection between supply chain processes and the business processes of various departments. 
- Solve problems and conflicts in cross-departmental work and promote the smooth operation of the company's overall operational processes
 

Qualifications

Job Requirements: 
1. Bachelor's degree or above in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or related fields.
2. Good English skills, which can be used during work. German skill is preferred. 
3. More than 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years of leadership experience in a supply chain management team.
4. Proficient in all aspects of supply chain management, including sourcing, procurement, inventory management, logistics and distribution, production planning and scheduling, etc. 
5. Have rich experience in supplier management. Familiar with the processes and methods of supplier development, evaluation, selection, and maintenance of cooperative relationships. 
6. Master procurement negotiation skills and contract management knowledge. Be able to effectively control procurement costs and quality risks.
7. Have strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities. Be able to use data analysis tools and methods to collect, analyze, and mine supply chain data.
8. Have good project management capabilities.
