Job Description

The Project Manager leads the project team according to BEUMER Group (BG) standards (PMI based). The Project Manager leads the project in the best interest of BEUMER Group based on the Vision, Core Values and Leadership principles of BEUMER. The Project Manager reports to an internal Steering Committee, using the project report as the tool to inform the steering committee of the overall status of the project and present the important decisions to be taken. The Project Manager ensures transparent and open communication of consolidated technical and financial points in the project. Thinks and acts globally as BEUMER Group. The Project Manager will additionally act as people champion by formulating goals and motivating team members to achieve those goals.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close project execution to deliver the project (and related products, services and results) on time, within budget and with the agreed quality.
  • Manage the project on an operational level (e.g., project deliverables, progress reporting, forecasts, etc.)
  • Inform, communicate, and coordinate internal and external project activities to BG (e.g., across departments and group companies, etc.).
  • Ensures project execution is in conformity with the contract and project requirements.
  • Secures the interests of BG and finds the right balance to fulfil customer satisfaction.
  • Based on core values and “Leadership” principles, responsible for the overall management of the project team to achieve project milestones and objectives in a cost effective and timely manner.
  • Support the process of bid management when necessary, ensuring the inclusion of practical execution experience to the bid.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and / or Commercial.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience and preferably one project handled end-to-end as Project Manager. International project exposure is a plus.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) / IPMA Level C is an added advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in English (C1).

Functional skills:

  • Basic business understanding of BEUMER or similar business areas i.e. airport, logistics, conveying & loading, mineral & mining, cement or similar for business.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Has a structured approach to project execution according to BEUMER processes.
  • Understands and follows BEUMER Group Stage-Gate Model and Project Management framework (PMI).
  • Knows and implements PMO's global standard templates based on business project category checklist.
  • Formulate goals and motivates team members for successfully achieving project objectives.
  • Effective Integration management (incl. organization, project reporting, change management extern/intern).
  • Effective scope and requirements management.
  • Effective Financial management.
  • Effective Quality management.
  • Effective Resource management (external/internal).
  • Effective Risk management.
  • Effective Contract and Claim management.
  • Effective Procurement management.
  • Effective Stakeholder management.
  • Effective HSE management on Site.

Soft skills:

  • Excellent Communication Skills in English and other language as per project requirement.
  • Strong personal and social competence such as integrity, assertiveness, emotional intelligence, open to change, willingness to learn, critical thinking, empathy, etc.
  • Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective Time management.
  • Ability for negotiation and conflict resolution
