Retrofitting  your machines with the BEUMER IoT solution is not just about visualising data. By connecting your system to a network, you enable the provision of various digital services from BEUMER Customer Support. Our secure one-way communication between the BEUMER Cloud and your machine keeps your data protected and allows you to improve the performance of your system based on the prioritised data.

We analyse various data from your systems and processes and create dashboards for you. You can also rely on the know-how of our experts. We are happy to support you with defining the right scope of services, so they meet your requirements.

Highlights

What does the infrastructure look like?

Your system and the BEUMER Cloud are connected via an IoT gateway, which is installed in the control cabinet of your system. An IoT gateway can manage multiple machines, requiring a local cable connection. Communication between the IoT gateway and the machine takes place in one direction, so that no external access to the machines is possible.

The data connection between the IoT gateway and the BEUMER Cloud is then established via your network or, if required, via an LTE router with SIM card. This connection sends the data to the secure BEUMER Cloud, where it is processed and stored. The processed data and statistics are then visualized via a browser-independent web application that can only be accessed with the appropriate login data. Other services such as the Elara maintenance management software can also be integrated. If you require remote troubleshooting or a 24/7 Hotline, it may be necessary to add a secure VPN client.

What is the procedure?

Together with a BEUMER account manager, your requirements and the technical feasibility are determined and integrated into a customised offer.

After commissioning, a BEUMER service technician will install the IoT gateway on site and update the software of your machine. When the connection to the BEUMER Cloud is established, a test run of the systems to be integrated is carried out during installation. We recommend that our service technician also carries out an inspection.

Once the connection has been successfully established, your data is integrated into the systems and displayed in your user interface. Your user accounts are created and together we agree on how to conduct your onboarding.
