Compliance with human rights and environmental due diligence obligations along the value chain

BEUMER Group GmbH & Co. KG is aware of its social responsibility as an internationally active company in the field of intralogistics. We recognise the importance of complying with environmental and human rights due diligence obligations and are committed to responsible and sustainable business practices along our entire value chain.

Respecting human rights and protecting the environment is crucial to our actions as a value-driven family business. Our goal is to ensure that human rights, social standards and environmental protection are respected in all areas of BEUMER Group GmbH & Co. KG. We further expect our suppliers to apply the same standards and due diligence obligations. This policy is binding for all BEUMER Group GmbH & Co. KG locations worldwide.

Due diligence obligations

On the basis of our due diligence obligations, BEUMER Group GmbH & Co. KG is particularly committed to the implementation of human rights and environmental protection mechanisms in the following areas:

Human rights

Implementation of a process for compliance with our due diligence obligation

We have prepared a process consisting of the following elements for the thorough implementation of due diligence in accordance with the applicable legal requirements:

  • Risk analysis
  • Preventive measures
  • Remedial measures
  • Complaints procedure (whistleblower system)
  • Effectiveness review
  • Documentation and reporting

Environmental protection

Risk management

BEUMER Group has established an appropriate and effective risk management system to ensure compliance with the due diligence obligations defined within this policy statement.

Risk analysis

In order to recognise risks of human rights and environmental violations, BEUMER Group GmbH & Co. KG carries out an annual and ad hoc risk analysis in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Preventive measures

BEUMER Group has established appropriate measures to prevent or reduce identified risks, both in its own business area and in relation to direct suppliers.

Remedial measures

If BEUMER Group determines that a violation of a human rights-related or environmental obligation has already occurred or is imminent in its own business area or at a direct supplier, specific measures are taken immediately to end the violation or minimise its extent.

If the violation has occurred, or is imminent at an indirect supplier, a risk analysis is carried out on an ad hoc basis, preventive measures are introduced, and a concept for ending or minimising the violation is implemented.

Complaints mechanism

BEUMER Group GmbH & Co. KG has set up a complaints system through which information on risks and violations relating to human rights and environmental obligations can be submitted.

Effectiveness review

The effectiveness of the preventive and remedial measures is reviewed by BEUMER Group GmbH & Co. KG once a year and also on an ad hoc basis. If necessary, these are updated immediately.

Documentation and reporting

BEUMER Group GmbH & Co. KG fulfils the reporting and publication obligations defined by the applicable legal requirements. From 2025 onwards we will report annually on our efforts to maintain the highest level of due diligence in our supply chain. This includes the publication of the results of our supply chain risk assessment and a detailed description of our steps to mitigate these identified risks and the effectiveness of these measures.
